Meet the Providers

Dr. R. Thomas Bowden
Dr. Bowden grew up in Beckley, WV, and graduated from the WV School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, WV in 1997. He completed his residency through West Virginia University at Charleston Area Medical Center. He is Board Certified in the specialty of Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Bowden opened Charleston Internal Medicine, Inc. (CIM) in July, 2001 and has been a leader in Internal Medicine care in the Kanawha Valley since that time.
Dr. John H. Lewis
Dr. Lewis joined Charleston Internal Medicine in March, 2009. He obtained his medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 1994 and completed his residency through the WVU/CAMC Family Medicine Residency Program in Charleston. He is board certified by the American Board of Family practice and was a founding partner of Mountain State Medical Associates prior to joining CIM.

 

Dr. Katherine Calloway
Dr. Katherine Calloway joined Charleston Internal Medicine in September, 2011. Dr. Calloway completed her undergraduate work at Wake Forest University before receiving her medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, WV. She completed her residence in Family Practice at the Joan C. Edwards school of Medicine at Marshall University. Additionally, she is Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians in both Family Medicine and OMT. Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Calloway worked in the public health sector in community based planning, evaluation, and in rural health initiatives. Dr. Calloway has traveled extensively offering her medical services in foreign countries including Rwanda, Mozambique, Kosovo, Honduras and Italy.
Dr. Tamra F. Aman
Dr. Aman joined Charleston Internal Medicine in July, 2012. She is a Wayne County, WV native and received a BS degree from Marshall University prior to graduating from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002 with her medical degree. Dr. Aman is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. Prior to joining CIM, she practiced in both Huntington, WV and Weirton, WV. Dr. Aman's outgoing personality is a great match for the pace and variety of family medicine and she likes helping patients learn how to manage their health conditions in a productive and positive manner.

 

Dr. Witt A. Durden
Dr. Witt A. Durden joined CIM in August, 2015. He was an honors graduate from the WV School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2012 and completed his residency at Wake Forest University Medical Center in 2015. He is also Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He holds a B.A degree in Mathematics from the University of Oklahoma where he was an NCAA Division I All American wrestler in 2001 and 2002. Dr. Durden is trained to care for all individuals age 18 and older.
Dr. Cynthia Collins-Stump
Dr. Cynthia Collins-Stump joined Charleston Internal Medicine in September, 2013. Dr. Collins-Stump serves as the practice’s hospitalist. She received her medical degree from the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, VA, and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the CAMC/WVU School of Medicine- Charleston Division. Dr. Collins-Stump has participated in several presentations for the American College of Physicians. As a hospitalist for CIM, Dr. Collins-Stump sees CIM patients that have been admitted to a CAMC facility, rather than seeing patients in the office.
Victoria Dobbins, DNP, FNP-BC
Victoria (Vicki) Dobbins, Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, joined our group in October 2016. Prior to coming to CIM, Vicki had been providing primary care services to a rural community health clinic since 1998. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Masters of Science in Nursing, and her Doctorate of Science in Nursing, all from West Virginia University. In addition to her duties with CIM, she is also on the Adjunct Faculty at Georgetown University as a clinical advisor for Family Nurse Practitioner students. Vicki enjoys managing patients with complex chronic illnesses, as well as working with patients on health promotion and disease prevention across the lifespan.
Samantha Hayes, MSN, FNP-BC
Samantha joined Charleston Internal Medicine in August of 2014. She earned her Masters of Science in Nursing degree from Wheeling Jesuit University in May of 2014. She is licensed by the West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses as well as board certified in family practice by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She has worked in various medical settings including: emergency medicine, pediatrics, women's health and family practice. Samantha is qualified to manage all aspects of patient care including; diagnosis and treatment of health conditions, ordering laboratory and radiology testing and prescribing appropriate medications.
